The Pinnacle DriClime Hoody sits somewhere between a fleece and a softshell, and it's better for it. The outside is a tough, stretchy double weave that shrugs off rock, pack straps and harness rub. The inside is Marmot's DriClime knit, which pulls sweat away so you're not clammy on the walk in. It's windproof and has a water-repellent finish, so a passing shower beads off instead of sending you for the rain jacket. Marmot built it for long days at the crag, but it's just as handy on a breezy ridge or a cold morning with the dog. It's not waterproof, so keep a shell handy when the weather properly turns.
