The PreCip has been Marmot's everyday rain jacket for over 20 years, and the Eco is the current version. It's light, it packs into its own pocket, and it keeps the rain out properly: waterproof, breathable and fully seam-taped. PitZips under the arms let the heat out on the uphill bits, the hood rolls away into the collar when you don't need it, and a soft DriClime lining on the chin guard stops the zip rubbing your face raw. It's a men's jacket for tramping, travel, the school run and anything in between. It's a lightweight shell, so pair it with a warm layer when it's cold.
