The Tungsten UL is Marmot's lighter take on their popular Tungsten, and the 2-person version packs down to 61 x 17 cm and weighs 1.55 kg all up. Pre-bent poles push the walls up close to vertical, so there's proper headroom to sit up and get changed without doing yoga. It's freestanding, the clips, poles and fly are colour-coded so it goes up quickly even in the dark, and there are two doors and two vestibules, so nobody climbs over anyone for a midnight wee. The fly is polyester, which doesn't sag when it gets wet, and the floor is a seam-taped bathtub design to keep puddles out. A 3-season tent for tramping, bikepacking and the odd weekend at the lake.
