The Petzl Actik Headlamp offers 350 lumen of multi-beam brightness, it is ideal for dynamic outdoor activities like mountaineering, running, hiking and backpacking. It's compact yet powerful. This headlamp has an output of 350 lumens and exceptional endurance. It's also really easy to use. The two light beams (wide or focused) make the head torch suitable for outdoor activities such as mountaineering, running or backpacking. You can also choose between red and white light. Red light is perfect for maintaining your night vision and - even more importantly - many animals don't notice red light.
The Actik E099FA02 meets the IPX4 standard. This means that the head torch is splash-proof. You can, as such, use the torch when it's raining, but you cannot submerge it in water. The torch can handle rain showers, snow, or sweat. The torch can also be tilted into several positions. This is handy when you want to read in the dark.
Light options
What makes this torch so practical is the fact that it offers two light profiles within one torch: One for close by and one for far away. The choice is yours. The Petzl Actik has three white light levels and two red LED modes: steady or flashing mode. You can change it with just one push of a button, dependent on the situation. Briefly press the switch to turn the light on and to cycle through the different light modes. The torch starts in the least bright light mode. After going through all the light modes, the torch turns off. If you press the power button for half a second, the red light is activated.
The light from the Actik E099FA02 is strong enough to illuminate a distance of up to 80 metres. If you choose the low mode of 6 lumens, the Actik E099FA02 will burn for an extremely long time. This mode also makes maximum use of the battery's capacity. If you select the highest mode, the head torch will supply you with 350 lumens and a burn time of up to 2 hours.

Hybrid concept
The Petzl Actik works with three AAA batteries (included), but is also compatible with the rechargeable Petzl Core battery. The Petzl CORE (not included) is a rechargeable Li-ion battery that you can use to replace three AAA batteries. As such you can turn your head torch into a rechargeable version. You can easily charge the battery with a USB cable. Never worry about battery changes again!
