The Kinetic Plus is Rab's stretchy waterproof, made for long mountain days when the weather keeps changing its mind. It's built from their Proflex fabric, which is waterproof, breathable and properly stretchy, with taped seams. So it moves with you on a scramble or a steep climb, and it feels more like a soft shell than a crinkly rain jacket. The close-fitting hood has a stiffened peak, the front zip and A-line pockets are YKK AquaGuard, and the cuffs adjust with hook and loop. It's a slim fit. At 10,000 mm waterproof it's happy in showers and a wet day out, but for a week of West Coast rain we'd pack a heavier shell as well. Stretchy, light and waterproof. Everything we want in a tramping mate, minus the snoring.
