The Xenair Alpine Light is for anyone who spends half the climb taking their jacket off and the other half putting it back on. It's a light synthetic insulated jacket built to breathe, so you can leave it on while you work hard. The PrimaLoft Gold Active+ fill is lighter in the spots where you run hot, and the wind-resistant Pertex Quantum Air outer lets the steam out. The close-fitting hood goes under a helmet, the sleeves are shaped for climbing and scrambling, and the elasticated cuffs work with gloves. There are two zipped hand pockets, plus an inner chest pocket that doubles as its stuff sack, with a harness loop. It's not waterproof and it's not a big belay puffer. It's the one for moving.

Recycled content

The lining is 100% recycled nylon and the insulation has 55% recycled content. Rab puts the whole jacket at 47% recycled content, measured on a women's size 10.
